Last year, the Wayne State MSA was blessed with two wonderful chaplains: Sheikh Mohammed Ishtiaq and Sister Leenah Safi. Our chaplains are invaluable sources of religious, spiritual, and practical knowledge and insight for us students. The impact that they have as scholarly Muslim leaders available to students can be seen on both an individual and organizational level within the MSA.

Sister Leenah will continue to be available to Wayne State students around campus throughout the 2018-2019 academic year.

Khurram Wani was born and raised in Detroit, MI. He attended Wayne State University for his undergraduate studies and currently teaches middle school math at Huda School in Franklin.
